Don't Miss Out

Hello North Anderson family and friends!

We hope that your week has gotten off to a blessed start and that you, like us, are still praising the Lord for the incredible Easter weekend that we shared in at North Anderson Baptist Church. Death could not hold our Lord…and that changes everything, amen?

That being said, while exclaiming that He is risen on resurrection Sunday is a wonderful, beautiful, and important thing; living out that truth on Monday is just as vital!

Instead of relegating the fervent, passionate worship of our risen King to a designated spring weekend, let’s do so throughout the year. Making much of Jesus with our lives!

Here are a few opportunities that you have to gather with fellow believers this week and to do just that by being encouraged, instructed, and equipped with the truth of God’s Word:

Wednesday: We are on our regular mid-week ministry schedule with Adult DiscipleU Bible Study at 10:30am or 6:30pm (part two of Revelation 20 this session). The True North Student Ministry and North Anderson Children’s Ministry both meet at 6:30pm

The Men’s Bible Study at Mama Penn’s will continue this Thursday morning at 7:00am as we continue to work of way through the Gospel of Mark and the Cultural Christian Cohort will meet at 7:00pm (at the Rydin home) to discuss chapters 13-15 of the Screwtape Letters

On Sunday morning, after a week off for Easter Sunday, we’ll meet for Bible Fellowship Classes at 9:15am and then return to our regular worship time of 10:30am as we celebrate baptism, sing unto the Lord, and continue our study of the Ten Commandments. If you’d like to study ahead, we’ll be covering Exodus 20:4-6.

Also, this Sunday morning, we will be hosting a New Members Class for anyone who is thinking about uniting with the North Anderson family. This class will explain who we are, what we believe, and what church membership is all about. If you are interested, please click the “New Members Class” tab in the Events section of the website and register.

We encourage you to periodically review the events section of our website and get your calendars marked for all that is going on so that you don’t miss out! That said, there are couple of events that are happening soon that we want to highlight so that you can get registered and help us to best prepare:

This Sunday evening at 5:00pm in the Family Life Center, we will hold a “Let’s Taco Bout Vacation Bible School” meeting.
ALL VBS volunteers who have signed up or are planning to help in any way with VBS are invited to this event! We will have free tacos/nachos for everyone! This meeting will discuss important information of how VBS will take place this summer so all volunteers can be prepared before June. To ensure we have enough food, please register on the events page on the app or sign up on the sign-up sheet near the FLC by Thursday, April 24. Please contact VBS Director Ashley Rollins for questions.

Also, True North Students, you are invited to join us for a fun night at the ballpark as we watch the Greenville Drive take on the Asheville Tourists on Friday, May 2nd! This is a great opportunity to hang out, enjoy some baseball, and make lasting memories with friends. Space is limited, so get registered by clicking the events tab today to reserve your spot!

Ladies, it’s almost time for Café Extravaganza! You are invited for an evening of food, fellowship, and fun on May 16th from 6:30-8:00pm! Our speaker will be Sherelle Ducksworth from Anderson University. Cost is $15/person and the registration deadline is Sunday, May 4th. If you would like to register and pay in person, please see Stephanie McCollum or Susan Bryant. Childcare will be provided but registration is required

Oh, and by the way, we have new “Here To Serve” North Anderson t-shirts available for purchase! Secure yours online or by stopping by the church office!

Verse Of The Week: “Little children, guard yourselves from idols” – 1 John 5:21

Prayer Focus This Week: Theological Education in Rwanda
The IMB Theological Education Team writes: "Pray for churches in Rwanda to open. They have been closed since last August due to government regulations. Leaders from different denominations have responded to suggestions for change from the government. We are still teaching discipleship and witnessing to our communities. We have another baptism coming up. Our church buildings are closed, but the body of Christ is alive. Praise God for His grace to us!"
