This Week at North Anderson

This Week @ North Anderson

We hope that you all had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! We certainly are still on cloud nine after the great Sunday of worship we had as we gathered together at Darwin Wright Park to fellowship, share a delicious meal, lift up the name of Jesus and celebrate so many baptisms! We were thrilled to have such a fantastic crowd of people and are so thankful for all of the hard work that makes this annual event so special. From the cooks to the cleanup, to the sound system and live stream being set up, to our Deacons hauling chairs and tables back and forth, and everything in between...THANK YOU!

We're looking forward to another great week at North Anderson and pray that you will plug in! Here's what's on tap:

PRAYER FOCUS THIS WEEK:
The International Mission Board has requested that we make it a point to pray for the South Asian people who are now in Africa. Pray for safety, as workers and national partners are traveling near and far and out of town for church training. Trainings began in the month of August and will continue in September and October. Please pray for open hearts and listening ears. Intercede for trainers who will train others and make disciples.

VERSE OF THE WEEK:
"For you, Lord, bless the righteous one; you surround him with favor like a shield" - Psalm 5:12

Also, a quick note: We have recently changed Phone and Internet service providers. With this change, and the current strike that is ongoing with a communications labor union, our phone lines at the office are yet to be installed. We have received word that we will be up and running very soon but until that happens, our elevator is not going to be in service as federal law requires a working phone in the elevator. We're sorry for this temporary inconvenience. It's simply out of our hands. As we wait for phone service to be restored, we'd be wise to remember the new "beatitude" that our New Orleans Mission Team learned this summer, "Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape!".
