This Week At North Anderson
Hello there, North Anderson family and friends!
What a blessed day of worship the Lord gave us this past Sunday at North Anderson! It was such a joy to lift high the name of Jesus with one another in worship, hear one of our young men preach the gospel, announce and affirm three new men who’ll be joining our Deacon Ministry Team, and to welcome so many first-time guests! The Lord is good!
We’re looking forward to this week as well and wanted to highlight a few things on the calendar this week:
Wednesday:
Exalt Music Ministry Rehearsal will be held in the Sanctuary at 5:30pm
RA’s, GA’s, and Mission Friends will meet at 6:30pm
True North Students will gather at 6:30pm
Adult DiscipleU Bible Study & Prayer will meet at 10:30am or 6:30pm
Thursday:
Men’s Bible Study @ Mama Penn’s at 7:00am
Sunday:
We’ll gather for Bible Fellowship Classes at 9:15am and will worship corporately at 10:30am
On this Sunday, our message will be from Acts 6 and 1st Timothy 3 and will help us to better understand the office and function of a New Testament Deacon. At the conclusion of the service, we’ll be ordaining Cody Rydin to the ministry of Deacons.
Scripture For The Week: “Deacons, likewise, should be worthy of respect, not hypocritical, not drinking a lot of wine, not greedy for money, holding the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. They must also be tested first; if they prove blameless, then they can serve as deacons” – 1 Timothy 3:8-10
Prayer Point: The Wassulu people
Like large numbers of people groups around the world, the Wassulu people are not confined by geopolitical borders. The work among the Wassulu that has been shared with you is happening predominantly in Mali, but it's also taking place in Guinea. A smaller number of Wassulu also live in Cote d'Ivoire. In Guinea, where reported numbers of Wassulu vary, a sister language is used and there are some cultural differences adopted by them after having lived near other people groups for long periods of time. However, they all see themselves as Wassulu. Pray today for Emma and Holly, who are sisters in Christ, sent out to share the gospel. Pray for their spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being as they share the good news of Jesus Christ among the Wassulu of Guinea in the region where they live. Ask God to raise up believers to be strong and godly men among the Wassulu people and who have a desire to share the gospel and disciple the Wassulu there.
