A couple more quick notes:
  • Pastor Kyle has written a helpful article about an unnecessary rift that once occurred between two of the greatest preachers in history and what their story teaches us about the danger of making assumptions. You can read the article here – https://www.northandersonbaptist.com/blog/2025/02/17/ready-shoot-aim
  • If you haven’t already done so, please pick up your contribution record statement. They are available in the Welcome Center and will remain there throughout February (after which, they will be moved to the Church Office)

Verse Of The Week: “Finally, all of you be like-minded and sympathetic, love one another, and be compassionate and humble, not paying back evil for evil or insult for insult but, on the contrary, giving a blessing, since you were called for this, so that you may inherit a blessing” – 1 Peter 3:8-9

Prayer Focus For The Week: The People Of Pretoria (pri-TOR-ee-uh), South Africa

Please pray for native-born Pretorians Willem and Vanessa, as they see it as God's calling on their lives to plant house churches in Pretoria. Willem and Vanessa have a deep desire to devote every hour of their day to discipling the believers and leaders of the already established eight house churches. But they still have bills to pay! After seven years of "living by faith" and struggling each month to make ends meet, Willem and Vanessa are considering heading back into the secular workplace this month to try to find employment and the resulting necessary wages. "Lord, we ask that you fill this godly couple with the knowledge of Your will and provide for their financial needs in Your way!" "And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding" (Colossians 1:9)
