This Week At North Anderson
HELLO NORTH ANDERSON FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
I hope that your week has gotten off to a great start after an incredible 3.16 Weekend with our dear friends, Sctott and Scarlet Smith at North Anderson Baptist Church. We’re praising God for the two professions of faith that happened immediately following the service and for the privilege of sharing in the celebration of Isaiah Johnson’s baptism.
God is good!
I also want to say thanks for all who’ve reached out to me to check and see if I was feeling better after I mentioned not feeling well on Sunday morning. Turns out, it must have just been something that I ate the night before as I was fine by Sunday evening.
I do hate that we had to postpone our Holy Home Cohort but do think that it was the right call, given how I was feeling at the moment. We’re working on finding a new date and will share it with you as soon as it’s penned into the calendar. If the new date doesn’t work for you and you’ve already registered, you will be refunded in full.
With that said, I do want to share a few things with you in regard to what is happening this week at North Anderson:
On Wednesday:
We have all of our normal mid-week activities with Adult DiscipleU Study (Revelation 17) at 10:30am or 6:30pm, Children’s RA/GA/Mission Friends at 6:30pm and our True North Students will be heading on a off-site “field trip” at 6:30pm (so don’t be late!)
Music Ministry Rehearsal will begin at 5:30pm in the Sanctuary. We’d love for you to jump in and be involved, if you aren’t already!
*The WMU Ladies prayer time that was scheduled for this week has been postponed*
On Thursday:
Our Men’s Bible Study at Mama Penn’s begins a new study in the New Testament at 7:00am. As we’re beginning a new study, it would be a great time to jump in, men!
The DMA Senior Adult Ministry will have its luncheon and program at noon in the Family Life Center
The Cultural Christian Cohort will meet at the Rydin’s at 7:00 pm to discuss chapters 10-12 of The Screwtape Letters
On Sunday:
We’ll gather for Bible Fellowship Classes at 9:15am and for Corporate Worship at 10:30am as we continue our series through 1st Peter, “The Exiled Elect”. We’ll be covering the remainder of chapter 4 this week so read, meditate upon the scriptures and come ready to receive the Word of Truth!
The Truth North Student Ministry will be going to play airsoft at 1:00pm. If your student is going, this waiver MUST be filled out – https://subspla.sh/fmx37fw
Verse of the Week – “Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve others, as good stewards of the varied grace of God.” – 1 Peter 4:10
Prayer Focus For The Week – The people of Osaka, Japan and the churches and missionaries who are serving them
"The Osaka Team is casting a wide net across universities in our city. Three interns are here for three months to help. We also have three other new teammates and three Journeyman missionaries reaching out to the students. They have been attending language exchange events, game parties, and special events designed just to reach that group. As a result, there have been some students saved, attending Bible studies, and being discipled. There hasn't been this much response for many years among university students. Praise God for what He is doing! Pray for this evangelistic work among university students. Pray especially for the leaders to minister with God's strength and to take needed times to rest. Also pray for the new missionaries to continue to advance in the Japanese language."
