Paul says in 2 Corinthians 7:1, in part, “perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” Under the subject of “Will I Bring Myself Up to This Level?” Chambers wants you and I to consider living a life of holiness by the power of God in and through us. We live the Christian life by the promises of God and if we don’t, we live our life from the human perspective.
God is forming His Son in us through sanctification – which is setting us apart from sin and making us holy in His sight. (Galatians 4:19, “My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you…”) God calls for our lives to be clean of sin and when we recognize sin in our lives we need to get rid of that sin so we can walk clean in Him.
Do we willingly let sin corrupt us or are we allowing the mind of Christ to be formed in us by bringing our lives under the control of the Spirit of Christ? The more He is in control of our lives the more we will submit to the will of God, and we live in holiness in the fear of God.
Do you let God have His way with you? You and I are to make God first by committing our lives to Him above all else.
