A MESSAGE FROM THE GREAT MASTER

6th December 2012 by Bill Davis
Treat others as you want them to treat you. This is what the Law and the Prophets are all about. You have heard people say, ‘Love your neighbors and hate your enemies.’ But I tell you to love your enemies and pray for anyone who mistreats you. Then you will be acting like your Father in heaven. He makes the sun rise on both good and bad people. And He sends rain for the ones who do right and for the ones who do wrong. If you love only those people who love you, will God reward you for that? Even non-Christians love their friends. If you greet only your friends, what’s so great about that? Don’t even unbelievers do that? Remember, to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and most important commandment. But the second is also an extremely important commandment. And it is, ‘Love others as much as you love yourself.’
Haven’t you noticed, when people get a little power how quickly it goes to their heads? It should not be that way with Christians. Whoever wants to be great must become a servant to others. Whoever wants to be first among others; must be willing to be last. That is what My Father in Heaven required; to serve, not to be served. Even to the point of being willing to give ones life in exchange for those who are in need. The greatest way to show love for friends is to be willing to die for them.
If you want to please God, you must turn from your selfish ways. If you try to hang on to your life, you will certainly lose it. Really, what do you benefit if you gain wealth and possessions but lose your own soul? Is there anything you feel is worth more than your very soul? Is it enough to gain fame and success building your earthly kingdom? The Kingdom I am speaking of is not of this world.
So I tell you to ask and you will receive, search and you will find, knock and the door will be opened for you.
Everyone who asks will receive, everyone who searches will find, and the door will be opened for everyone who knocks.
