GOD’S COMFORT

2nd October 2012 by Bill Davis
What are you looking for in your personal walk with God? Christians are not free from sin, temptation or problems. They just have Someone to share them with and guide them through tough times with strength and comfort. If you have accepted Christ as your personal savior and repented of your sins, you are a new person. If others can’t see the difference then perhaps you had better reevaluate your response to God’s word. A true Christ centered life cannot be hidden. It cannot escape notice. A person experiencing their Christian faith as a life style will stand out. When someone realizes what the grace of God has and can do for them; they will be set free. God will be there to share your concerns, providing comfort and guidance in everyday situations. God is real! He is here among us, just waiting for us to call on Him.
Romans 10:9 New International Version (NIV); “If you declarewith your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believein your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” John 8:32 New International Version (NIV); “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
The ultimate purpose in any Christian life is to live according to God’s direction and to function as a fulfilled person. Have you ever felt like something was just missing? A fulfilled life is a life based on God’s teachings. Stop and listen to your inner voice. Often that is God trying to reach you. Often God brings people into your life and has you face trials, to actually lead you to a stronger faith.
James 1:2-3 New International Version (NIV) “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faithproduces perseverance.” Hebrews 11:6 New International Version (NIV); “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Himmust believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
