While in Washington DC recently, I went to the Smithsonian’s Museum of Natural History. This portion of the Smithsonian Institute has been called; “the lion’s den of evolution”. Liberty University Biology Professor David DeWitt, has been quoted as saying; “There’s nothing balanced here. It’s completely, 100 percent evolution-based.” In 1829, James Smithson died in Italy, leaving behind what would eventually become a fortune left to: “the United States of America, to found at Washington, under the name of the Smithsonian Institution, an Establishment for the increase and diffusion of knowledge.”

Now let’s look at that: “for the increase and diffusion of knowledge”. If only one view of creation is presented, how can that be an increase and diffusion of knowledge? Could the U.S. actually be in legal violation of honoring a final bequest? I did go in and watch some of the presentation. Actually, I left before it was over, not due so much due to its delineation from Scripture; but its total insult to my intelligence.
Genesis 1:1 New International Version (NIV); “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Let’s look at the “Country Boy” translation: “Come on Dude, get serious! The first thing you need to get into your head is this: ‘God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see.’ Have you ever been chumming? The earth was much like that. A mess of nothingness. God’s Holy Spirit entered and formed what we have today.”
For anyone to believe the Darwin idea of creation is to deny God even exist. The atheist and agnostic do not believe in God or the Bible. But you know, that is even explained in the Bible. What did King David say?
Psalm 14:1 New International Version (NIV); “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.”
Can anyone tell me why Christian taxpayers money is used to fund, staff and maintain a public exhibit while disallowing any alternative view; be it Christian? Are we allowing others, once again, to dictate what is taught to our youth, while forgetting such an everyday God given miracle as the birth of a child?
Romans 1:20 New International Version (NIV); “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
Country Boy: “Are you an idiot? Look around you. Who you think made all this stuff. God ain’t happy with us and His angry is about to be felt. God don’t need the credit, but we had better at least acknowledge His existence. Open your eyes! Look at what God has created. Nobody has much excuse. Yea, but when they don’t treat Him like God, refusing to worship and honor Him, they are really acting dumb. There becomes no sense or direction in their lives. They pretended to know it all, but don’t know nothing regarding life. They traded the glory of God who holds the whole world in His hands for what?”
If we believe in creation, which everyone certainly does in some form; then I feel there must be a Creator. Someone to whom we are accountable for our own creation.
Matthew 12:36 New International Version (NIV); “But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every empty word they have spoken.”
Country Boy: “I am telling you, if you keep running your mouth about stupid things, you gonna loose. God, Himself, is holding you accountable.”
God is the Author of Creation; anyway HE chose to do it. Just remember Genesis: “In the beginning…GOD!
