From Your Pastor, April 2012

27th March 2012 by Administrator

What a joy it will be to worship together during the Easter season! The blessed hope of the Christian life and for the lost world is the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. We start our Easter season services with Good Friday Communion on Friday, April 6. Communion will be offered from 12 noon to 1 pm and again from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. You are encouraged to come as families, with friends, or individually. Our annual Sunrise Service will begin at 7 am on Easter Sunday, followed by a light breakfast in the gym. Easter morning worship will begin at 10:30, preceded by Bible study at 9:15. My prayer is that as you remember the great sacrifice Jesus made for the forgiveness of sin and the gift of eternal life, you will make worship of the Savior a priority.

North Anderson Baptist Church stands as a lighthouse to our community. It is our great privilege and responsibility to proclaim the Truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God and that He has come to give us a life worth living now and life eternal with Him in heaven one day. We, as believers and followers of the Lord, should seek to live lives that shine the love of Jesus Christ into a dark sinful world where hurt and sorrow prevail. Our desire should be to minister with the heart of Jesus to those with spiritual, physical, and emotional needs. If you have not been active in caring and sharing the love that God has so freely given you, come join us in worship and service in the kingdom of God and in the community in which we live.

We are also looking forward this month to Cooperative Program Sunday on April 22. I know you will be inspired and informed as you hear about the great ways Southern Baptists have carried on the mission of the church since 1925. Join us as we hear about what God has done through our past, rejoice in what He is doing right now, and accept the challenge to join Him for a great future of service in cooperation with other believers.
