Do You Need To Exchange Your Life?

5th March 2012 by Bill Davis
The Christian life is not only a changed life, but it also is an exchanged life. Jesus Christ exchanged His life on the cross for our life. When we turn our life over to Him, then we should exchange our life and lifestyle for His. We should take on a more Christ-like identity. Jesus gives you the power to live a Christ filled life. 2 Corinthians 12:9a; “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” God does not tempt us, but He will test us. If you are being tempted to do wrong or being told you are not worthy of God’s calling or gift; then you can be pretty sure it is of Satan not God. Your faith will be tested. Not just once, but often. If your faith isn’t being tested, then perhaps you aren’t doing enough for Him. James 1:2-3; “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.” Yes, life is tough, but when you turn your life completely over to Christ, he will offer you strength and knowledge that He is in charge. When you are trying to accomplish that which seems impossible or insurmountable, God is the answer. Luke 18:27; “Jesus replied, ‘What is impossible with men is possible with God.” Kind of like the old Christian hymn, “What a Friend We Have In Jesus”.
