Wild Pigs

I had a friend send me a story about how to catch wild pigs. Seems you put corn or the ground in the woods and after the pigs get used to the free corn, you put up one side of the fence. After they get used to the fence and start eating the free corn again, you put up another side. You continue this until all four sides are up and the last thing is to slam shut the gate capturing all the pigs. They may run around inside the fence for a little while but soon, go back to eating the free corn. They get so used to the free corn, they forget how to forage in the woods and take care of themselves. You see, this is what is happening to us here in America. We allow government and the “outspoken minority” to take away our freedom in the disguise of entitlement programs, supplemental income, subsidies, welfare and credits. We seem to value this “free corn” more than our own self respect and pride. 1 Corinthians 3:10b & 12; “If a man does not work, he shall not eat.” “Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat.” As we continue to enjoy “free corn”, we are loosing our freedoms little by little. We are also loosing our ability to take care of ourselves. Should not our country stop doing for people what they can and should do for themselves? Paul in his first letter to Timothy taught: “If anyone does not provide for himself and his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” Have you realized how there are scriptural lessons to every problem or decision made. It is said, when we pray we are talking to God and when we read His word; He is talking to us. Read the Bible every day and often. It will make a difference.
