North Anderson Baptist Church is strategically located in this town to reach out to our community for the Lord Jesus Christ. As pastor, I want to be led of the Lord to be faithful to preach His uncompromising Word of love to those who are lost and to reach all people with the love of Jesus. Our church desires to help those who have become Christians to grow into mature believers for the glory of the Lord. Ministering to and being the pastor of a growing church can only be done as a cooperative effort as we share the ministry of reconciliation together through the power of God. We are the church and we represent the Father in this town so when people see us they are supposed to see what God looks like. What kind of God do the people of Anderson see when they look at us?
Because this is so important we believe we should live by four Principles of Practice: 1) Love God 2) Love one another 3) Love the church 4) Love the lost. It is our prayer that when the people of Anderson see us that they will see that we are fulfilling Jesus’ desire that he shared with His disciples found in John 13:34-35(TLB), when He said, “And so I am giving a new commandment to you now – love each other just as much as I love you. Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” By our lives we will show people Jesus and help them know His redeeming love.
The apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:31 told the Corinthian church, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” God’s revelation to North Anderson Baptist Church is to honor and glorify God through worship, prayer, teaching, community service and mission opportunities. This has become our vision as we serve the Lord Jesus Christ here in Anderson and around the world. God has called us all to be Acts 1:8 Christians in a world that desperately needs Him.
