Yes, we are going to CELEBRATE Bill and Lynda’s retirement!
It’s been a challenge to decide when since we had the gym damage. (Not to mention Covid!) After discussing all the possibilities and talking with Lynda, we want to wait until the gym is done AND it’s warmer in case we have to have it outside!
We’ve picked Saturday, April 24th at North Anderson Baptist Gym. This will allow the extensive repairs to be completed. (Say a prayer!)
The time will probably be 4:00 until 6:00. Feel free to drop in or fellowship the entire time!
Stay tuned and we will keep you updated! Please go ahead and mark your calendars so you can be a part of this send off to the wonderful world of retirement for our dear Pastor Bill and Lynda.
Please spread the word as some don’t really use email and social media.
As we’ve learned from 2020 and so far this year, stay flexible!
Wednesday evening activities are resuming at 6:30pm Wednesday.
Due to water damage, there will not be a video service in the gym on the 3rd. We will still have our regular service in the sanctuary. Please enter through doors near the sanctuary. The entrance near the elevator, gym and kitchen will not be accessible. Masks will be required. Sunday School is still canceled due to COVID. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Want to let you know that, over the past few weeks, we have had several leaders and members test positive for COVID19. In light of this, the decision has been made to cancel Sunday School for January 3rd, 2021.
If you are a Sunday School teacher, please contact your class members (or in the case of children, their parents) to be sure they are aware of this change.
We will continue with worship services Sunday at 10:30 am in the sanctuary. Please note that MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED and will be provided for anyone who does not have one.
Over the last many years, South Carolina Baptists have participated in giving a gift to prisoners in the SC Prison System in Columbia. We had a former member who told us what a blessing these packets were to him while he was in prison. Many of you have enjoyed participating in this project. If you would like to do that again this year, the Saluda Baptist Association will collect them and carry them to Columbia in time for them to be distributed before Christmas: There will be a basket to collect them in the Welcome Center and we will be sure to get them to the Associational office. They are due by Wednesday, November 4.
