From Your Pastor

Bill Rigsby

Dear Church Family,

The Lord Jesus has said in Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” The Lord said through the prophet Malachi in Chapter 3:10, “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.”

October will be “Bring the Whole Tithe Month.” We challenge each member to give in the month of October, a tithe on the gross salary that you receive.  If you give weekly or monthly give the 10% of your gross income for that one month.  The church leadership is praying that we will be able to see the potential of the giving in our church fellowship and believe God that His people will trust Him to continue to bless them as they practice giving on a regular basis month after month.  Please join us in believing God to “Bring the Whole Tithe” in the month of October.

Everyone please make Saturday, October 13 the day you participate in “The Block Party” sponsored by NABC.  Get all the information on page 4 of this newsletter.

Bless you all and let’s trust God together!

Pastor Appreciation Prayer

by Rev. Frank Schaefer

Almighty and ever-gracious God,

We give you thanks for Pastor Bill

You have appointed him to be our Shepherd; to minister to our spiritual needs to reach the lost souls in our community

To prayerfully guide and tend to our church fellowship.

We realize that the task of a pastor and spiritual leader are demanding

His job is never done.

He listens, cares, and prays for us,

encourages and teaches us and reaches out to those in need of help and salvation.

We give you thanks, O Lord, for our pastor.

We pray that you would strengthen and empower him.

We pray that you would bless him and his family,

and that you would keep them out of harm’s way.

May you keep him from temptations and negativity.

May the joy of the Lord always remain in his heart; Amen.

Thank you Pastor Bill & Lynda for serving as our pastor and spiritual leader for 21 years.  You both give of yourselves so much and we don’t say “Thank You,” enough.

Thank you and know that we are looking forward to many more years of serving the Lord with you.
