Day 36 Read and Ponder God’s Word: Denying Self and Embracing the Cross
Matt 16:24, Mark 8:35, Luke 6 :46 & 14:27, John 14:15. Phil 2:13
Resolve now to put off self-will and embrace a deep daily yielding and a full surrendering to Christ’s Lordship. Clearly identify your specific points of rebellion and self-will and confess it to God. Trust Jesus to help you yield your personal comforts, conveniences, preferences and will.
Day 37 Read and Ponder God’s Word: Praying Persistently
Psalm 25:15 & 105:4, Habakkuk 2:3, I Thess 5:17, Romans 6:13, Gal 6:9
Remember that the Bible says to keep on praying. Let us not stop praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ, our church, the pastor search team, and our future pastor.
Day38 Read and Ponder God’s Word: Reflection of Christ
Matt 9:36-38, John 10:14-15, I Peter 5:2-4, Phil 2:1-5 Hebrews 10:23-25
Pray for our new pastor that he will reflect the Chief Shepherd. Pay that we can reflect Christ and we can encourage others around us.
Day 39 Read and Ponder God’s Word: Omnipotent
As you pray remember God is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or dare to dream.
Day 40 Read and Ponder God’s Word: Attitude of Gratitude
I am reminded of the words of a hymn. When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed, when you are discouraged, thinking all is lost, so amid the conflict, whether great or small, do not be discouraged, God is over all; Count your many blessings, name them one by one, count your many blessings and it will surprise you what the Lord hath done. Reflect on how God has richly blessed you. Pray and remember what God has already done, and what He continues to do. Continue to pray for those unanswered prayers with an attitude of gratitude.
